Every week students are expected to:
- Read for at least 15 minutes a night
- Complete at least 3 tasks on Mathletics
- Complete any unfinished work
Some weeks there will be extra tasks that are directly related to current learning. Students will be informed and they will be posted here.
Week 2, Term 2 - Extra Home Learning
- Boardgame Remix
- Find a game the you know well, and then add your own 'house rule' to make the game better
- This could be a way to make the game faster or more enjoyable by changing ONE thing.
- You might ADD a rule to the game
- Or you could make a completely new game using the same pieces.
- Write up your new ruleset in a Google Doc, & then play-test to see if it works.
- Record how your play-test went. How did it change what players did in the game?
- Complete at least 3 tasks on Mathletics
Week 1, Term 2 - Extra Home Learning
- Play a game with someone in your family, discuss with them what you enjoyed about it, what you think about how the game looks and feels and what players can do
- Complete at least 3 tasks on Mathletics
- Complete writing challenge on writing blog http://writingatraroa.

Week 6, Term 1 - Extra Home Learning
- Talk to friends and or family about the questions on your timeline (e.g How did I get my name?)
- Start gathering photos/videos/diary entries and other digital artifacts that you could use on your timeline
- Upload these onto your google drive, email them to yourself or bring on a usb stick
